In accordance with FTC guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, this page explains how SaaSMood is funded and how affiliate relationships may influence — and, just as importantly, do not influence — what you read here.

How we're funded

SaaSMood is an independent publication. As of the date above, the Site does not contain affiliate links, and we do not earn a commission from any link on it.

We may add affiliate links in the future, either through direct relationships with software vendors or through affiliate networks (such as PartnerStack). If we do, clicking one and signing up for a paid plan may earn us a commission from the vendor or the network, atno extra cost to you — the price you pay is the same either way. Not every vendor we cover will have an affiliate relationship with us; many are covered purely editorially.

How you can tell

If we add affiliate links, every page that contains one will carry a visible disclosure near the top of the page, and we will update this page before they go live. Affiliate links will route through our own/go/ redirect on the way to the vendor's site, which lets us measure engagement without using third-party tracking cookies (see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that redirect logs).

The Site has previously displayed promotional banners for software vendors that also routed through the /go/ redirect. Those banners are not currently displayed.

Editorial independence

Whether a vendor pays us a commission has no bearing on:

• Which products we choose to review or compare;
• The ratings, pros, and cons we assign; or
• The rankings in our "best of" and comparison content.

Our evaluations follow the same criteria for every vendor, described in full in our Review Methodology. If a product falls short in an area we care about, we say so — even if it's a paying affiliate partner.

Other monetization

We may also display advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future to help fund independent research and writing. As with affiliate links, advertising does not influence editorial content or product rankings.
